browser requirements

Windows Authenticated logons have been confirmed to work using the following browser versions: 

  • Internet Explorer Version 6.X with update SP1
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 with update SR 2
  • AOL 7.0
  • AOL 8.0
  • Netscape 7.0
  • Netscape 6.2

Browsers that will NOT work:

  • Internet Explorer 5.0 (No service release or patches)
  • Internet Explorer 5.5 (No service release or patches)
  • Netscape Communicator 4.0

To Check your Browser Version and Update package:

For Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Select Help | About Internet Explorer
    • Version: The Version Number
    • Update Versions: What updates you have installed (SP = Service Pack, SR = Service Release)

From Netscape:

  1. Open Netscape Browser
  2. Select Help \ About Netscape

To Update Your Browser

For Internet Explorer:

  1. Visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp
  2. Then install the current browser version or find the most recent update for your existing version

From Netscape:

  1. Visit http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp
  2. Then install the current version

problems

When I click on "Organization Logon" or  try to access myplc.peacelearningcenter.org I get one of the following results:


The page must be viewed over a secure channel | HTTP 403.4 - Forbidden: SSL required

For security reasons, you must access MyPLC using "https://myplc.peacelerningcenter.org"
Excluding the "s" or not using "https://" before the address will give you this error


Logon Problem | No Authenticated username

Your PLC Network username and password were authenticated by the web server, although your browser is not passing your authenticated username to the web page to create your customized MyPLC experience.  Try accessing MyPLC using one of the approved browsers listed above.


Logon Problem | Username not found

Your PLC Network username and password were authenticated by the web server, although is not currently listed in our database as an Active PLC Associate.

Access to MyPLC is granted for the following Active associates:

  • Board Members
  • AmeriCorps Members
  • Staff, Contractors, Interns, and Work study students

If you feel that you should be an active associate with PLC, please Email icon email Human Resources


Logon Problem | Incorrect username or password

  • You have not entered a correct PLC Network username and password
  • You do not have an active PLC Network account, or
  • You have entered your password incorrectly more than 10 times.

Please contact the Email icon IT Dept to check the status of your network account or to change your password


Your password has expired

This occurs if you have been given a temporary password and must change it the first time you logon, or your existing network password has expired and needs to be changed.  To change your password, enter the following:

  1. Account: Your PLC network username (first initial + last name)
  2. Old Password: Your temporary password or your old expired password
  3. New password: A new Password that:
    • Is at least 6 characters long
    • Contains both Upper and Lower case letters
    • Contains Number(s) or Punctuation
    • Does not contain any part of your name or username
  4. Confirm new password: Retype your New password

After you have changed your password successfully, click "Back to https://…".  
A box will open asking you to Enter your new Network Password


After I logon, it keeps prompting me for my username and password

This may be a problem with the browser you are using to access MyPLC.  Try accessing MyPLC using one of the approved browsers listed above.
