Building a recognizable brand is an important priority for PLC and logo identity plays a critical role in the effort. The guidelines presented here will help you to create high-quality marketing material for both the web and print that represent the PLC brand.

Components

The Bird symbol and the PLC logotype, precisely aligned, comprise the PLC logo. Its is the cornerstone of PLC's identity and the primary common element of all communications. To preserve the legal protection and market strength of the copyrighted logo, you must use them correctly and consistently, according to the following guidelines

• Display the logo and tagline only in the forms specified in this guide.
• Use the logo only in its complete form, always keeping the "Bird" and "Heart" symbols together with the logotype.
• Use only the master electronic artwork files.

Linking

Anytime the PLC logo or text "Peace Learning Center" is used on a website, the logo and text must be hyper linked to http://www.peacelearningcenter.org.

Clearspace and Size

Maintaining a clean and uncluttered space around the PLC logo maximizes the visual impact of the brand. Setting a minimum size helps to ensure that the logo is consistently easy to read. Please do not reduce the logo below one inch for print or 89x70 pixels for screen.

Improper use

• Do not attempt to recreate any portion of the logo.
• Do not separate the "Bird" or "Heart" symbol from the logotype.
• Do not include the logo in the headlines or text. Instead, when necessary, set the word "PLC" in the same typeface as the surrounding copy.
• Do not rotate, skew, redraw, reproportion, reproduce three-dimensionally, or otherwise alter or distort the logo or its elements in any way.
• Do not combine the logo with any other elements such as logos, words, graphics, photos, slogans or symbols that might seem to create a hybrid mark.
• Do not translate elements of the logo into another language or change them into another character set.
• Do not place the logo or the logo with tagline on a patterned background, which makes it difficult to read.
• Scanned or photocopied versions of the logo.
